What did you enjoy most about your STRONGCAMP weekend and did you discover anything new about yourself while at camp?
I loved the positive, almost electric energy of women coming together to have fun, exercise and support and challenge each other to work hard and be fit. I loved meeting new friends and spending time with like-minded women who lift each other up.
During sharing circle, I was reminded that EVERY person has challenges they face on their fitness journey, even women who seem to have it all figured out! It is so inspiring to hear the dedication and persistence these women devote to overcome obstacles and chase their goals! You never know when sharing your own story might help someone else be inspired to achieve better health and wellness.
How would you describe your experience at STRONGCAMP to a friend that has never been?
I would describe STRONGCAMP as an adult version day camp with fitness activities, wellness seminars and loads of fun being fit and active with other women. It’s the kind of day you can’t wait to repeat. In fact, I’m super excited and already signed up for STRONGCAMP coming close to home in Kincardine, ON this June.
Did you have a favorite workout or seminar at STRONGCAMP?
I loved the super energetic Zumba workout with the spunky and fun Aireen Vargas! What I lacked in coordination was made up for in fun! There were lots of laughs and I just kept moving!
