This is where you roll your eyes and utter, “what a cliché,” and believe me, as a writer (and a supporter of originality) I’m not oblivious to that fact. But as I reflect back on the journey of STRONG and see how far our little magazine has come, I can’t get that tired expression out of my head.
These last few months have been nothing short of a whirlwind of profound experiences as the STRONG team and I have worked to bring you what we hope has the potential of one day becoming a leader in fitness publications. Probably the most memorable of those experiences was when we took our newborn magazine down to Vegas for the biggest event in fitness, the Olympia Weekend, and threw it into the mayhem.
We were met with an overwhelming response from supporters that relate to our vision: athletes, trainers, models, advertisers, and most importantly, you, our future readership. We were humbled by the overwhelming enthusiasm for the STRONG movement.

The next phase of our journey begins right here, with our shiny new website. This space is packed with tips, tools and motivation to help fuel your own journey towards an active, strong life. I love the six kettlebell moves featured here that challenge the entire core, flexibility and balance, recommended by trainer Tommy Caldwell of Hybrid Training Systems. But don’t take my word for it, sweat it out for yourself and let us know how you made out.
If it’s motivation you’re looking for, the blog by our resident bootcamp trainer and IFBB Pro Jessie Hilgenberg is a must read. Jessie writes candidly about the pressures that come with competition—not just on the stage, but also between women everywhere, and from within ourselves.
But if you’re craving something more, such as a satisfying meal you can whip up in minutes, check out the seven dinner recipes from dieticians and healthy food experts.
Take a look around and let us know what you think. What do you love? What would you like to see? Your feedback helps us continue to grow, both as a brand and as a community.
One last thing: We’re loving your #mystrongmoment photos and captions, so keep posting! After all, as an old cliché suggests, you never know where your journey will take you next, but it’s the little moments along the way that you will remember most.
Stay Strong,
Kirstyn, Editor-in-Chief
