Growing up in northern Ontario, Brenda’s love for sport led her to obtaining a university degree in Physical and Health Education. She then sought out her teacher’s certification in hopes of passing on this love of sports to her students. It was ironic, then, that as an adult, she allowed the pitfalls of life, including several failed pregnancies and fertility treatments, to get in the way of her own health, and she let emotional eating take over. After hitting rock bottom as far as her health was concerned, she decided to make some drastic changes and regain control to assert herself as a strong mother of two young children.
One year later, she competed in her first fitness competition and now, after seven years, is an International level competitor.
Brenda strives to help women who find themselves in the same position she was in long ago, and has received her accreditation as a personal trainer through CanFit Pro for that specific goal. She now runs Fat2Fit with the goal to help as many women as possible to achieve their own transformation goals, in addition to her full-time career as an elementary school teacher.
Brenda is proud to be a sponsored athlete, published fitness model, and STRONG Fitness Magazine – Training Guide cover model.
