For the last decade, fitness has been at the center of Jessica Burgio’s life. What began as a desire to get in shape for a friend’s wedding soon turned into a shift in the way she thought about women and weight training. Within a few years, she became closely acquainted with the fitness industry and met her first prep coach, Gina, who trained her for her first Figure competition in 2010. Jessica took home first place at that show and has been a mainstay in the fitness industry ever since.
Now a mom living in sunny San Diego, Jessica was a STRONGCAMP attendee herself in Los Angeles in 2014. She says she fell in love with the energy, workouts, community and overall experience of camp, and vowed to continue to be a part of it somehow. A year later, she is a Senior STRONGCAMP Ambassador, leading women through the kind of weekend that she says helped her physically, mentally and emotionally.
Jessica loves to focus on what she calls “old school bodybuilding moves”, compound exercises, bootcamp-style leadership and, for good measure, a little yoga. Her instruction style is all levels and open to any woman willing to push her own limits.
